Once you visit England you won’t forget the well-mannered people, lively streets, quiet museums, beautiful art galleries, stunning monuments, and most importantly the absolutely mouth-watering food!

Although you might have your vacation or holidays planned and sorted. You still might be missing a lot if you haven’t attended or been to a UK Festival.

England, besides being famous for all the other stuff, also has a lot of vibrant and amazing festivals you can attend.

People from all over the world and also the local folks wait all year long to crowd up these festivals.

These festivals pack a lot of stuff ranging from music, entertainment, drama, theatre, food, discussions, debates, parties, and many more interesting things.

You will be able to experience the best in the world and what better way to have fun with your family and friends?

These festivals also have convenient facilities and accommodations where you can spend the weekend with your family or enjoy the parties and create long-lasting memories with your friends.

This year hasn’t been the best for all of us, with the constant nagging in our houses to the late-night and overtime working hours.

Camp Bestival, Dorset

Location: Lulworth Castle, Dorset

Camp Bestival is a family-friendly festival that offers a huge number of entertainment options along with some of the best music.

It is going to be held from 29th July Thursday to 1st August 2021 Sunday at the Lulworth Castle.

Camp Bestival is organized by BBC1 Radio DJ Rob Da Bank and his wife. The tickets for the festival range from £60 to £185 based on the age group you belong to.

Tickets are free but need to be bought for children below the age of 1 year. Camp Bestival is a huge family-friendly festival and aims to bring families together to enjoy the true spirit of festivals and bring back the Holiday camps.

It offers everything one can ask for ranging from comedy, arts & crafts, spoken word, dance for children and teenagers to the theatre, shows, attractions, activities, poets, authors for family members.

Artists in the line-up include Fatboy Slim, Kelis, Becky Hill, Sophie Ellis-Bextor ft. Sink the Pink, Groove Armada, Friendly Fires, Tim Burgess, Vengaboys, Dick and Dom, Mr. Tumble, Mister Maker, and a lot more.

Lost Village, Lincolnshire

If you’re the wanderer type and want to spend a memorable time in the woods Lost village festival is the perfect pick for you.

The lost village is a place where nothing is what it seems located in the forest with an abandoned airport this place will give chills but also get you excited.

You will reach there by a journey through the woods encountering eerie places, mysterious relics, and cars.

Here, they have the best music to dance to and the most exquisite food to feast on along with other amenities.

It gives you more of a festive-going spiritual vibe but still maintaining the party atmosphere.

This festival is run without any sponsorship, and at Shambala, they believe in being as environmentally sustainable as possible and hence also went meat and fish-free.

Like all the other festivals Shambala also offers a wide range of things to do and enjoy.

The Foodies Festival as the name suggests is a food festival which is held all around the UK in a span of around 2 months.

The cities include Brighton, Cambridge, Bristol, London, Chelmsford, Maidstone, Tatton Park, Winchester, Edinburgh, and Oxford.

Besides food, you’ll also get to see music performances from headliners and top upcoming artists in the UK.

Prices for the tickets range from £5 — £43 based on if you’re getting a weekend ticket, one day ticket, or family ticket.

Foodies festival in all, is a celebration of the amazing food, most unique drinks, live music, top chefs.

Diwali In Leicester

Diwali is the festival of lights and it signifies the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.

It was first celebrated in England in 1983 and since then it’s come a long way over the past couple of decades.

It is a modern cross-cultural celebration and is regarded as the biggest celebration of Diwali outside of India.

Diwali in Leicester includes 6500 lights with a bunch of other events which takes a lot of time to plan.

There are around 50 separate events which are organized and celebrated in a two week time period which is now called ‘Diwali Leicester’.

Diwali Leicester is one of the grandest and most popular festivals in England where you get to see the most beautiful sparkling lights, have drinks and dance, and indulge in the cultural delicacies of India.

Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival is one of the most famous and biggest music festivals celebrated in England.

It is very popular as they have had huge artists like Miley Cyrus, Fatboy Slim, Christine and the Queens, Dizzee Rascal, Skunk Anansie, and many more.

A popular thing about the Glastonbury festival is that it has a pyramid-shaped stage and with over 100 other stages it spreads across 200 acres of land, just so you know how big of an event this usually is.

Music aside it also offers cabaret, circus, theatre poetry, crafts, art, a separate kids area, and much more, so make sure you check it all out!

Location: Parliament St, York

For those who aren’t aware, Vikings were a race of Norse people who were primarily known for being sailors, warriors, and traders.

The existence of Vikings dates back to the 8th — 11th century.

This festival is a little different as compared to the others mentioned, as the locals celebrate and rejoice in the conquest made by Vikings over England.

The prices range from £8 to £40 based on the type of ticket — children, adults, family

You’ll be able to find and learn a lot about the Viking’s culture at this festival as you go through different tours, talks, and events.

For the entertainment of locals, they also hold competitions, feasts, drama, and combat performances!

Although the news is that this festival will resume only in 2022 let’s hope that we get to experience this in 2021 as this is one the best festivals to attend if you’re visiting London with friends.

Boomtown

Location: Matterley Estate near Winchester, Hampshire

If you’re going to be in Winchester in the month of August this festival is a must.

Boomtown, also known as Boomtown Fair takes place almost around the same time every year in Winchester.

Boomtown Fair is mainly known for its electrifying music but also the storyline and theme that it follows and continues every year.

This festival packs so much more than just music, with theatre and vibrant performances.

With heavy beats, dub, disco, and funky live acts this festival will leave you astonished as you completely immerse yourself in it.
